Product Description

Diamond™ White Glass Microscope Slides are ideal for all routine applications, automated instruments, long-term storage, fluorescence studies and where accuracy and the highest optical quality are of paramount importance.

  • Diamond White Glass microscope slides are made from chemically pure white glass sheets and are so clear... you will see the sample not the slide
  • The glass offers a low iron content which results in superior transparency, very low self-fluorescence and no color distortion
  • The special composition of the glass provides minimal oxidation, which ensures sample integrity during long-term storage
  • Increased hardness and molecular stability of the slide surface guarantees more accurate experimental results and diagnoses
  • Hydrophilic surface allows fluids to spread across the surface of the slide
  • Slides are pre-cleaned and ready to use
  • Diamond White Glass microscope slides are double cellophane packed in high quality plastic boxes to protect against moisture and foreign particles
  • Clipped Corners Style: 45° Beveled edges, clipped corners. These beveled edge microscope slides are ideal for performing blood smears. The highly polished edges are specially angled at 45° to provide a secure grasp during the smearing process.
  • Dimensions (Width x Length): 25mm x 75mm (±0.5mm)
  • Thickness: 1.1mm

Standard shelf life for white glass microscope slides is approximately 2 years if the below "Care and Storage of Microscope Slides" conditions are followed.

Instructions

Care and Storage of Microscope Slides:

Transportation and storage conditions considerably affect the quality and performance of microscope slides. Follow these recommendations to ensure the integrity of your new slides.

  • Microscope slides should be stored in a dry place at constant room temperature. If the ambient temperature is constantly warming and cooling, condensation may occur, which can cause the slides to stick.
  • Slides should be kept on a pallet or shelf and not directly on the floor.
  • Do not store slides and solvents together as the slide surface can turn hydrophobic.
  • When the slides have just been received, allow them to reach room temperature before opening. This can take up to 24 hours. Keep in mind that the slides may have been in a very warm or cold vehicle and condensation can form if opened too soon after arrival.
  • Since white glass is subject to an aging process, we further recommend continuously rotating stock so the oldest slides are always used first. This will ensure that all slides being used are of the highest quality.
